This is central to what makes Resolute RGL different.

82% of the profits go to the women’s cooperative in the South Hebron Hills. The rest is used to grow the project and build new partnerships in the field.

This 82% is split between:

• The women receive for crafting each tapestry (they are paid per piece, not just per sale); and
  
• Of Resolute RGL — they hold the largest ownership stake in the company and receive the majority of net profits from overall sales.
  

Resolute RGL is majority-owned by the Women's Weaving Cooperative, Basel Adra, and Kifah Adra — working together as co-owners of the business.

In addition, Resolute RGL includes a broader group of local and international activists — including '48 Palestinians, '67 Palestinians, Americans, Italians, and American-Israelis — who came together to build an ethical and just economic model and fight for Palestinian identity and culture.

We intentionally structured the company this way, and based it in the United States, so that funds can flow directly to the women and the cooperative, without passing through Israeli authorities.

In short: this is not a charity — it’s a business where the women, together with Basel and Kifah, are true owners and economic partners, with a structure designed to give them maximum direct benefit and control.

Our business model puts the South Hebron Hills’ Women’s Weaving Cooperative at the center of its engine. We make sure to prioritise the growth, development and compensation of the cooperative as we grow. We source ethically and scale with the goal of providing the communities we work with unique opportunities to grow and develop, get global attention and become stronger as a community as a result.

We named this brand Resolute to honor the artisans, their resilient stance, and the way they use craft to sustain their community. Resolute is a call to action for a global community to see the beauty in both the craft and the struggle.

RGL stands for Reclaiming Global Looms—a commitment to reclaim history and culture, in this case, Palestinian history and culture, through craft. It also represents Robert Gary Levin, a notable activist in the 1960s and a key witness in the Chicago Seven trial, whose legacy of conscience and action inspires our work.

Palestinian Tatreez embroidery is a centuries-old art form, meticulously handmade by women in Palestine and traditionally passed down from mother to daughter.

This intricate embroidery has transcended its artistic origins to become a powerful symbol of Palestinian resistance and female resilience under Israeli occupation.

The art of Tatreez, traditional Palestinian embroidery, holds profound lessons beyond the meanings embedded in its stitches and motifs. What captivates me most about this ancient craft is its role as a defiant remnant of the deep connection indigenous peoples had with the earth.

Each garment, imbued with significance, was created for a specific person, intended to last for years, decades, or even generations. This process was inherently slow, fostering a deliberate and thoughtful approach to clothing.

Creating a single garment featuring Tatreez can take countless hours, and customers who commission these pieces may wait weeks before receiving them.

This is a radical departure from the fast fashion industry we have become accustomed to, where speed and disposability reign supreme. By embracing the slow, intentional craftsmanship of Tatreez, wearers are invited to rethink their fashion standards and embark on a journey toward a more sustainable and meaningful relationship with their clothing.

Our shoes begin with the tatreez made by the Women’s Weaving Cooperative in Masafer Yatta, led by our co-founder Kifah Adra. The embroidery is then sent to Portugal, where the shoes are assembled. There, the tatreez is stitched into the sneakers by a family-owned business that has worked for generations and cares about craft as much as we do. They work ethically and share the social values that matter to us. This way, every pair connects our community’s hands and traditions with people around the world.
